Your Publisher Review
Step 1: Book the review slot
For projects up to 20,000 words select the ½-day review.
For projects between 20,000 and 50,000 words select the 1-day review.
For projects of 50,000 words or more select the 2-day review.
Step 2: Submit your project information
When you have booked your review, Richard will be in touch to confirm the date and time of the follow-up Zoom and give you access to the project information page.
You will then complete a detailed form to ensure the reviewer understands the book’s purpose, intended audience and the broader plan for its lifetime.
You will also upload the full manuscript together with all other elements (imagery, illustrations, etc.).
Richard will confirm a deadline date with you for submission of the project’s information.
This enables the printing and preparation of all resources ahead of time so the reviewer can focus exclusively on the content of your project.
Step 3: The publisher review
Once completed you will be able to access your publisher review online. This includes:
- An orientation video, helping you make the most of the review
- A categorised review of the strategic clarity of the project, red (needing significant refinement), amber (could be more effective with some work) or green (very minor polishing needed or ready to go):
- Clarity of purpose for the reader
- Clarity of purpose for the author
- Clarity of purpose for the author’s business
- A categorised review of the manuscript as it stands (red, amber, green):
- Manuscript: structure and flow
- Manuscript: spelling
- Manuscript: grammar
- Manuscript: tone / style
- Manuscript: stylistic quirks
- Manuscript: potholes
- A categorised review of the manuscript relating to the underlying elements that develop connection with the reader and allow them to experience transformation (red, amber, green):
- Empathy
- Authority
- Ecosystem
- Disruption
- Paradigm
- Specific recommendations are made for each element of the review
- Based on the information provided on your form we will also prepare next step / publication options should you continue to work with us
